Makin' Music

A couple songs from a TV show I did a while ago. Richard and I performed to promote the local music scene in San Jose - or more specifically, our shows at the Blue Rock Shoot.

She Says

An acoustic version of a Howie Day song called She Says. I recorded this to test my new FireBox Audio Interface and BlueTube preamp. If you listen carefully I think you can even hear my loud cat in the background .. !

Fotografía Cover (with Tab)

This is our first shot at an acoustic version of Fotografía by Juanes. We were trying to figure it out in the hotel room in Brazil the day we had to perform it for Fernando's Wedding. Anthony Goto (me) playing guitar, Fernando Javier Lopez singing and Fernando Lopez sitting in. I can't speak Spanish so you can see me making up my own words and fumbling for harmony. Good times.


This is just a version I made up on the spot. I don't think it's correct but it contains the basic idea. Here's the tab for those who have been asking for it.

*** Update: Some people were having issues with this tab:

I couldn't find the correct notation for this, so I'm making
it up.  You need to hold each of these root notes for
the duration of the chord.  For instance, the first note
should be held down with your middle finger on the third fret
of the E string while playing the next notes up to Am with
your free fingers. Essentially, all the notes have to ring
for as long as possible.  It's a bit hard if you're not very
comfortable finger picking.  If you find it doesn't work, try
plucking strings of the chords below and you should get the
same feel.
